Raven Engineered Films is a vertically-integrated full-service solutions provider of targeted products for the geosynthetics industry. From super-stabilized membranes meeting the GRI-GM Standard Specifications to critical NSF certifications, we have an extensive product line to encompass all performance requirements. The Raven product line includes a wide-range of geomembranes including RPE, RPP, PVC, EPDM, CSPE, HDPE, LLDPE, fPP, along with all the supportive geosynthetic materials to complete seamless installations and meet the unique challenges of the environmental sector. Raven is an experienced manufacturer of advanced multi-layer geomembranes for effective containment of liquids, solids, odors and hazardous gasses. Available thicknesses range from 6 mil reinforced to 45 mil dense reinforced geomembranes, and up to 120 mils in co-extruded sheeting. We offer a complete line of proprietary gas barriers and reinforced membranes in smooth or textured from 20 to 80 mils. Raven incorporates the latest barrier technology to produce advanced gas barriers designed to prevent the migration of harmful VOCs including BTEX, TCE, PCE, methane, and many other toxic chemicals and odors. Raven geosynthetics sales and construction specialists can recommend a complete solution from project concept to completion. We integrate a modular construction approach into project design and installation by producing large prefabricated geomembrane panels up to 4 acres in size to be further fabricated onsite. Factory panels are custom fabricated and mapped to exact specifications, eliminating up to 80% of field seams and significantly reducing labor, testing, and days required on site. ABSOLUTE BARRIER® Y-Series LLDPE 7-Layer Barrier
Y-Series (30-40 mil) — Seven-layer co-extruded geomembranes consisting of very flexible, linear-low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) with an inner core of chemically resistant advanced barrier resin, designed specifically as a barrier to effectively block radon, methane, and VOCs. High strength LLDPE provides exceptional tear, impact resistance and flexibility. Absolute Barrier® Y-Series is designed to stop gas vapor migration on Brownfield sites, in residential and commercial buildings, as well as geomembrane containment and covering systems. Absolute Barrier® is highly effective in preventing degradation of Geofoam by protecting it from direct contact of harsh VOCs.
Absolute Barrier® X & XB-Series – HDPE Barrier & Textured Barrier
X-Series (40-60 mil) and XB-Series (20 mil) — Seven-layer co-extruded geomembranes consisting of chemically resistant high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with an inner core of EVOH or Nylon barrier resin, designed specifically as a barrier against radon, methane, and harmful VOCs (Gasoline, Benzene, etc.). The RB-Series is textured and contains a robust stabilization package that exceeds industry standards, providing long-term protection from thermal oxidation and ultraviolet degradation in exposed applications. Absolute Barrier® geomembranes provide more than 10x lower permeability to harmful VOCs, and other gases than common 80 mil HDPE.
Dura♦Skrim® R & RB-Series – LLDPE Reinforced & Barrier Reinforced
R-Series (6-30 mil)—Reinforced high-strength linear-low-density polyethylene containing carbon black, UV inhibitors, and thermal stabilizers in a four-layer reinforced extrusion laminate with tough diagonal-direction scrim reinforcement. R-Series membranes range from light to medium weight materials for short to mid-term applications with select products for temporary to 10-year outdoor cover applications.RB-Series (20 mil) integrates an advanced nylon gas barrier core layer to effectively control hazardous VOCs, radon, odors, and methane gas migration. Dura♦Skrim® R-Series 8BV, 12BV, and R20WW meet GRI-GM22 Standard Specifications.
Dura♦Skrim® J-Series – Reinforced Textured LLDPE
J-Series (25-30 mil)—Unique, single-side textured scrim reinforced geomembranes manufactured using high strength virgin polyethylene resins. J-Series is reinforced with a tri-directional scrim reinforcement to maximize tear and puncture resistance. The cast extrusion process achieves a consistent friction surface with uniform asperity heights. Raven’s exclusive GeoGrip™ surface texture provides increased friction between various soil and geosynthetic layers allowing for steeper slope designs. J-Series membranes are formulated with thermal and UV stabilizers to assure a long service life.
Dura♦Skrim® K & KT-Series – LLDPE Reinforced & Reinforced Textured
K-Series and KT-Series (30-45 mil)—Rugged scrim-reinforced geomembranes (RPE) manufactured from very flexible premium linear-low-density polyethylene. In addition to excellent dimensional stability, they provide unmatched tear and tensile strengths for long-term exposed applications. KT-Series is manufactured utilizing cast extrusion to achieve a consistent textured friction surface with uniform asperity heights. Exclusive GeoGrip™ texture provides increased friction between various soil and geosynthetic layers allowing for steeper slope designs. K-Series and KT-Series are certified under NSF/ANSI Standard 61, Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects, and also meet GRI-GM25 Standard Specifications.
Dura♦Skrim® KQ-Series – Flexible Polypropylene Reinforced (fPPR)
KQ-Series (30-45 mil) — Reinforced polypropylene geomembranes, achieve superior flexibility by incorporating high levels of ethylene propylene rubber into polypropylene. A dense scrim-reinforcement provides excellent dimensional stability, tear, and puncture resistance. KQ-Series membranes do not contain plasticizers that can leach out and cause long-term performance failures. KQ-Series provides outstanding resistance to environmental stress cracking even in elevated temperatures and chemical environments. KQ-Series is certified under the NSF/ANSI Standard 61, Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects, and also meet GRI-GM18 Standard Specifications.
HydraFlex™ H-Series – Economy Grade LLDPE
H-Series (20-40 mil) — Co-extruded economical geomembranes containing select reprocessed resins in the core for temporary applications. Prime high strength outer layers provide chemical resistance, durability and ease of welding. H-Series has over 11% greater tensile and 33% greater puncture strength than the competition mil-for-mil. H-Series LLDPE smooth membranes are recommended for general mid-term applications requiring up to 5 years of exposed longevity.
HydraFlex™ HT-Series – Economy LLDPE Textured
HT-Series (30-40 mil) — Co-extruded textured linear-low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) geomembranes, containing carbon black and ultraviolet inhibitors. Available in black and gray/black color options with the gray side providing a cooler surface against contrasting colors and a vital function for ease of damage detection during installation. HT-Series Textured LLDPE provides increased friction, elongation and flexibility. HT-Series is used in applications demanding increased friction resistance, high elongation and flexibility characteristics.
HydraFlex™ HD-Series – Co-Extruded HDPE/LLDPE/HDPE
HD-Series (40-60 mil) — Premium three-layer co-extruded geomembranes with outer layers of high-density polyethylene and an inner core of flexible and conforming linear-low-density polyethylene. The outer layers have an outstanding balance of environmental stress crack resistance and toughness—while providing excellent chemical resistance to aqueous chemicals and solvents. HydraFlex™ is stabilized with carbon black, antioxidants, and UV stabilizers for long-term exposed applications. Applications include containment of water, process fluids, leachates, brine, and other liquids. HD-Series is preferred in the containment of incidental hazardous spills due to its chemical resistance and availability of prefabricated full-size containment pads.
HydraFlex™ PRO HP-Series – Very Flexible LLDPE
HP-Series (20-40 mil) — Premium-grade polyethylene liners designed with enhanced flexibility, and pinhole resistance as demonstrated by its low modulus characteristics. These properties are critical for applications requiring exceptional flexibility and high impact strength such as above ground tank lining systems. The optional gray top-layer minimizes thermal expansion and maintains a cooler surface. HP-Series has 48% higher tensile strength and 33% higher puncture resistance than common unsupported geomembranes. HydraFlex™ Pro has an estimated longevity of 15 years with the gray surface exposed.
HydraFlex™ ULTRA HU-Series – Very Flexible LLDPE – Meets GRI-GM17
HU-Series (20-40 mil) — Premium LLDPE geomembranes designed for applications requiring excellent outdoor longevity, chemical resistance and exceptional durability, even in cold weather environments. Virgin-grade high strength LLDPE provides 36% greater tensile and 37% higher puncture resistance than required by GRI-GM17. HU-Series meets or exceeds GRI-GM17 Standard Specifications for (LLDPE) geomembranes, and performs well in water and waste water applications for commercial and municipal projects. HU-Series is highly flexible and conforms easily to uneven surfaces and is engineered to be used in more critical applications including the fish-safe requirements for aquaculture.
HydraFlex™ fPP & VF-Series – Very Flexible PP and Very Flexible PE
fPP-Series (40 mil) and VF-Series (30 mil) — Exceptionally flexible geomembranes achieved by incorporating high levels of ethylene propylene rubber into polypropylene. HydraFlex™ polypropylene provides outstanding resistance to environmental stress cracking even at elevated temperatures in addition to aggressive chemical environments. Both fPP and VF series will remain flexible and conforming to challenging terrains without stress cracking problems often seen with common HDPE membranes. HydraFlex™ fPP and VF series do not contain plasticizers that can migrate to the surface, causing premature aging.
