WAM Abu Dhabi, 9 October 2011 (WAM) — Under the Patronage of the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, the 2011 GEOSYNTHETICS Middle East Conference is taking place on 25th and 26th October at Park Rotana Hotel with the collaboration of AHK the German Chamber of Commerce.
With a focus on the regions infrastructure projects and environmental applications, the Geosynthetics Middle East 2011 will once again contribute to the quality of the construction projects throughout the region, increasing their value and considerably extending their service life.
Eng. Abdulla Al Shamsi, Acting Executive Director of Infrastructure and Municipal Assets at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City said: “Such Conferences will be a venue for the recent developments and future opportunities for geosynthetics in infrastructure will primarily focus on environmentally friendly materials that can be used in the construction industry”.
Al Shamsi added that ADM is pursuing a leading role in adopting sustainable development policies, and drawing up strategic plans based on a methodology closely integrated between projects undertaken and services delivered.
Key industry experts will present applications and case studies on geosynthetics used in: Railways, Roads, Airports, Seaports, Bridges, Tunnels, Landfills, Environmental Protection, and other related topics.
The conference which is organized by SKZ the German Plastics Centre in cooperation with its local partner BMC Gulf LLC, will be associated with a technical exhibition, where national and international companies are showcasing their products and Services.
