A late 2019 blind survey from CentralSquare of more than 5,000 participants found that Americans are overwhelmingly supportive of infrastructure improvements. In fact, 2/3 of respondents cited that infrastructure would be their top priority if they were in charge. More than half also indicated they’d fire a city leader over slow response to upgrading infrastructure with more modern systems. The public is looking to engineers!

Transportation, water quality, and the environment lead public response to infrastructure concerns. These are the exact topics of GeoU 2021, April 20 – 23 in Austin, Texas. The GeoU courses focus on reinforced soil structures, stormwater controls and hydraulic engineering, and landfill CQA and sustainability.

Furthermore, GeoU is centered around the use of geosynthetics—the only major class of construction materials developed in the 20th century. Geosynthetics make many applications possible and many others more economical and longer-lasting. Advance your practice and improve infrastructure with the knowledge GeoU 2021 delivers.
