The town of Thorhild, Alberta, Canada, has 3100 residents. A new landfill for Edmonton’s commercial waste could generate close to $1,000,000 in combined revenue and savings on disposal if it is sited near Thorhild. However, locals are concerned about the envioronmental impact.
