Landslide Response

The Oakland City Council has approved $350,000 for winterizing erosion control and drainage work around four imminently at-risk homes threatened by a landslide earlier this year. Landslides are common in many areas of California, but response methods vary greatly. Geosynthetics could play a greater role.
