Containing Arsenic

The city of Fernley, Nevada has received permission from the state Division of Environmental Protection to move forth with a water treatment plant’s construction. A major concern was the presence of arsenic in the site’s drying ponds, but the submitted design has met the environmental bar by including thick concrete basins and a 60-mil HDPE secondary containment liner.
