The Tahoe Basin was ravished by wild fires in 2007, and since then agencies and government officials have scrambled to find and release restoration and erosion control funding. Those monies are starting to free up. The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) has announced nearly $3 million in funds for 15 earmarked projects, most of which involve erosion control, drainage or revegetation measures.
