The Jamestown Landfill in Tuolumne County, California, began failing in 2006. Over a fairly brief period, three slopes failed. The cleanup project has now been awarded to Sukut Construction. Their roughly $6 million project will commence soon. In their winning bid, they submitted two plans to accommodate different soil conditions they may encounter in cleaning up the site.
