The installation has involved an artificial grass system that is stabilized and aiding in draining by a geotextile. Additional drainage support is built into the subgrade. Artificial turf installations have increased significantly in recent years at schools as the cost of the systems has come down and the benefits of lower maintenance and water conservation are realized.
