First, Lined NJ Landfill Expands

Since 1984, the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority (CMCMUA) has opporated a lined landfill facility in Woodbine. This was New Jersey’s first lined landfill. The facility has just received approval to add another 70 years of burial capacity to the area, so long as strict boundaries are observed to protect a rare woodpecker habitat.
