Safedem took the 2009 Explosive Demolition Award for its work on the 12-storey Broomview House in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh. The project used a considerable amount of geotextile for blast protection and debris containment–a common, albeit largely unpromoted geotextile application. It’s a testament to material strength.
