The Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil-Integrated Bridge System (GRS-IBS) approach has made a significant impact on reducing bridge costs and speeding up construction through the utilization of geosynthetics. The FHWA recently created a video to educate designers, engineers, contractors and inspectors on the fundamentals of the GRS-IBS.
