Geosynthetic InstituteThe Geosynthetic Institute (GSI) regularly offers short-course and certification professional development opportunities. Currently, GSI is preparing four one-day courses (each of which will be offered twice) and two certification exams (each of which are also available in conjunction with related courses). All courses and exams noted here will be conducted at GSI’s main office in Folsom, Pennsylvania (just outside Philadelphia). They are as follows:

One-Day Short Courses

  • “Geosynthetic Reinforced Retaining Wall Failures and Their Remediation” (NEW)

  • “Inspection, Monitoring and Maintenance of MSE Walls, Berms and Slopes” (NEW)

  • “Geosynthetics in Waste Containment Liner and Cover Design”

  • “Quality Assurance/Quality Control of Geosynthetics Installation”
    7 December 2011 and 21 March 2012

NOTE: All GSI one-day courses carry with them 8 professional development hours (PDHs), as certified by the Geosynthetic Certification Institute (GCI)
