Thrace-LINQ23 February 2011 – Thrace-LINQ, a supplier of woven and nonwoven geosynthetic technical fabrics, announces the expansion of its Quality Assurance Department to include Process Improvement, ensuring the control of all manufacturing processes and the highest quality products for its customers.

Leading the Process Improvement team is James H. Brown, quality assurance manager. With more than 15 years of Quality experience, he has served Thrace-LINQ since 2008 as the technical support liaison between the plant facility and various corporate support groups. Brown will continue to lead the Quality Assurance Department and will oversee all Process Improvement activities, including introducing new processes, satisfying customer demands, and achieving technical specification compliance.

“To become increasingly competitive and serve the changing needs of the market, we must continuously improve our manufacturing efficiencies,” said Thrace-LINQ vice president Davis Taylor. “James will lead the newly formed Process Improvement Department well, helping us focus on innovation and cost reduction through lighter fabric weights, faster speeds, and less waste.”

Reporting to James Brown will be the process improvement technicians, who will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of standard processes and new product development.

During the last two years, Thrace-LINQ has grown from a one needle-punched nonwoven operation to a two-line operation with a rapidly expanding portfolio serving the automotive, furniture, specialty, and industrial markets.
