Apple Valley (Minnesota) will build the new Whitney pond this summer on land owned by Burnsville in Lac Lavon Park. The pond, expected to be completed by November, also will have a walking trail around it. The 2-acre pond will have a liner to prevent contaminated water from seeping into the surrounding lakes.
