The Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners (Minnesota) approved a conditional use permit Tuesday that could allow a privately owned demolition landfill to accept a wider range of items, including things termed “industrial waste.” Jay Morrell Building Investments built the landfill to Class III standards by installing a clay bed and thick plastic liner. The leachate, or runoff from the landfill, is collected.
