Pipelines International has published an article on its website regarding the construction of pipelines in rainforests. Among the many recommendations is the need for geotextiles or other geosynthetics to ensure access road stability. The soils at most of these sites do not have good load bearing capacity. Geosynthetics provide that support and allow dependable pipeline construction.
