The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published a 16-page document titled “Partnership for Sustainable Communities” to highlight the past year’s interaction with communities regarding brownfields transformations. The agency is allocating more than $4 million in the next round of funding to help communities identify new uses for contaminated and remediated land, such as converting these previously unusable zones into renewable power-generating fields.
