Thrace-LINQSUMMERVILLE, SC – Thrace-LINQ, a global supplier of woven and nonwoven polypropylene-based fabrics for a wide variety of textile applications, invited the best players in Geosynthetics and Industrial Fabrics to its key customer event held August 6–12 in conjunction with the 94th PGA Championship at The Ocean Course located in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, which earned its “stripes” for unpredictable challenges since its debut 21 years ago and hosted the strongest and deepest all-professional field of the year. The 156-player roster included the top 108 players on the current Official World Golf Rankings. The field featured 32 major champions, 71 international players representing 21 countries, and all three of the year’s major winners competed for the Wanamaker Trophy in the first major golf championship to visit South Carolina. Thrace-LINQ players arrived by limousine directly to the main gate of The Ocean Course and enjoyed premier hospitality services and preferred seating a few steps away in PGA’s exclusive Hole 17 Champions Club.

Thrace-LINQ selected The Inn at Middleton Place to provide modern amenities in an historic, natural Lowcountry setting to thank its business players. Among only two hotels honored in South Carolina, The Inn at Middleton Place made National Geographic Traveler magazines first-ever, annual “Stay List.” The “Stay List” issue celebrates 150 hotels in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean region that are among the best at blending location-inspired architecture, ambiance and amenities, eco-stewardship and an ethic of giving back to the community. The Inn’s 55 rooms are secluded among tall pines and live oaks just a short walk away from the historic landmark Middleton Place, home of America’s oldest landscaped gardens and a major part of South Carolina’s history.

Players also enjoyed Charleston’s beautiful waterways during a three-hour dinner sunset cruise complete with a multi-course gourmet meal, live music, book signing by local author, Gullah sweetgrass basket weaving and fantastic views of Charleston Harbor aboard the private charter Spirit of Charleston.
