American Environmental Group, Ltd. is currently seeking a Geosynthetics Technical Manager.
The primary duties a Geosynthetics Technical Manager is expected to perform include:
- Promoting AEGL and products in a professional and ethical manner
- Able to respond to common inquiries from customers, agencies, or members of the business community
- A dedication to raise the profile and awareness of AEGL’s industry commitment across the marketplace
- Developing & enhancing a network of industry contacts to assist in the facilitation of new business opportunities
- Develop excellent rapport and relationships with customers
- Gathering market data, and disseminating positive information regarding AEGL business line
- Identifying & targeting new business opportunities and continuously developing new customers
- Proactive handling of day to day inquiries to ensure maximum customer satisfaction with AEGL products and processes. Follow-up on quotations and provide accurate and timely feedback
- Take shared responsibility with AEGL to maintain and increase personal knowledge, skills and expertise of company processes and procedures, organizational structure and responsibilities, product details and applications and any other identifiable development areas directly impacting performance in the role
- Maintaining and updating a client database system to maximize customer opportunities
- Professional representation / participation in regional / national trade shows with exhibits, technical paper presentations and marketing efforts designed to increase opportunities
- Regular, scheduled contact across the customer base to build robust, long-term customer relationships
- Assist in all necessary market and customer research to execute a comprehensive business strategy
- Identify all relevant industries within the assigned territory and extend the product range across the existing customer base
Required Abilities / Aptitudes
- Dynamic, goal and target oriented, high energy, achiever, with a driven personality
- Must be self-driven / reliant, able to work independently and act on own initiative
- Ability to produce technical papers and articles relative to business line
- Ability to understand / geosynthetics materials and their respective applications across all markets
- Must be detailed, organized, focused, and deliberate in approach, with good follow-through
- Able to effectively present information to customers, management and public groups and respond to questions
- Provide an aggressive and pro-active approach to client needs
- Effectively communicate with clients and peers
- Able to compose budgetary documents and generate correspondence to customers and end users
- Able to define problems collects data, establish facts, and communicate action within company
- Ambitiously establish and manage contacts / opportunities
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Must be available to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
- Must maintain a professional, well groomed appearance
- Marketing, Engineering, Industrial, or Technical degree preferred
