GeoAfrica 2013 will be held 18-20 November 2013 in Accra, Ghana. This quadrennial event marks the 2nd African Regional Conference on Geosynthetics. To be held under the auspices of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) and hosted and organized by the IGS Ghanaian Chapter (GhIGS), the event offers an exceptional opportunity for geosynthetics-related engineering and construction professionals to interact with the African continent’s growing infrastructure (transportation, energy, etc.)—all within a context of sustainability and situated within a city The New York Times rated the #4 place to visit in 2013.

With more than 70 papers from around the world to be presented and a sold out exhibit hall, the conference will off a number of exceptional, international knowledge transfer and professional networking opportunities. Highlights include technical lectures and sessions on:

SPECIAL EVENTS

On the night of November 17th, an opening reception will be held in the exhibit hall. A special networking event will take place on November 18 after then day’s education tracks close. And an “Akwaaba” Dinner will be offered on November 19.
