Solmax at Geosynthetics India

30 October, 2013 – Varennes, QC – Solmax, a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of geomembranes, would like to take this opportunity to mention its involvement in the Geosynthetics India 2013 seminar that was held in New Delhi from 23-25 October 2013.
Organized by The International Geosynthetics Society’s India Chapter, the Geosynthetics India 2013 seminar focused on promoting technical knowledge about geosynthetics to  the domestic engineering community for use in landfills, mining, coal combustion residual sites and other industrial applications.
At the event, Mr. Daniel Tan (Senior Technical Director, Solmax) presented two technical papers on October 24th. The first of the papers entitled “Coal Ash Containment – Disaster waiting to happen due to the lack of regulatory requirements” focused on regulation in the field of coal ash containment. The second paper, “LLDPE – A formidable alternative to HDPE geomembranes for landfill capping – Why are they not used?”concentrated on the use of LLDPE geomembranes in landfill capping applications. Both papers were co-authored by David Cao (Vice President of Sales – Asia Pacific, Solmax), Robert Denis (Vice President – Product Engineering, Solmax) and Shivendra Singh (Sales Account Manager – India, Solmax).
Later on at the event, on October 25, Solmax’s David Cao was invited to chair the technical conference II on geotextiles and geomembranes.
Solmax’s involvement at Geosynthetics India 2013 is part of an initiative to continually build our brand and high quality reputation in the Indian geosynthetics industry.
