CQA & GEOSYNTHETICS INSTALLATION
The multi-day training on Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) in geosynthetic and compacted clay liner installations is an intensive, state-of-practice exploration of materials handling, installation, and monitoring of geomembranes, panel welding, geotextiles, interface friction testing, geotextile tubes, geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs), drainage, cushioning, site documentation, and much more.
These CQA skills are cornerstones of successful engineering businesses and regulatory authorities. They provide essential controls that are applicable to the use of geosynthetics and compacted clay in waste management, mining, environmental protection, and other engineering sectors.
LISA TRAINING
Liner integrity (or, leak location) services are part of a rapidly growing CQA sector. More regulatory agencies and private companies (e.g., waste management firms) are incorporating liner integrity into their standard site CQA protocols. Geoelectrical surveys may be performed economically and prevent significant fines or facility performance issues by identifying the source of leaks or potential leaks quickly.
Very few companies still know how to properly perform liner integrity surveys, making this an exceptional opportunity to add a business-building strength to a CQA firm’s offerings.
INSTRUCTORS
This year, Australia CQA week will include expert instruction from Abigail Beck, P.E. (Director of Liner Integrity Services), John Allen, P.E. (Director – TRI Geosynthetics Interaction Division), Sam Allen (TRI Vice President and Division Manager), and Warren Hornsey, Pr.Eng (Director, TRI Australasia).
