CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
Presentations are invited on all topics related to waterproof membranes. Example topics:
- Market trends worldwide
- Design and selection of waterproofing for different applications
- Case studies
- Materials performance: bitumen, thermoplastics, elastomers, reinforcement, additives, pigments
- Membrane structures and manufacturing
- Installation technology, adhesion, sealing and joints
- Properties: weathering, fire resistance, lifetime prediction, windlift, chemical and root resistance

Speakers have a 30-minute slot, which includes 5 minutes for questions. Also, speakers attend the conference free of charge (one free place per paper). Papers are required as PowerPoint 2 months prior to the conference.

About Waterproof Membranes
Waterproof membranes provide essential protection of the earth’s resources – preventing water ingress in construction and conserving water in reservoirs, whilst also lining hazardous waste areas to prevent leachate from contaminating the surrounding land. From bitumen to advanced synthetic polymer compounds as a material base, waterproofing has been established and tested for lifetime prediction, weathering performance, leak testing, barrier properties, etc. Curently waterproof membranes are expected to be multifunctional such as providing cooling mechanisms to roofs by reflecting incident light, or a base for a roof garden, or an energy production site with integrated photovoltaic systems. There are innovations in environmental aspects such as bio-based sourcing of materials and recycling after recovery.
