The NYSDOT’s mission is to ensure that their customers, those who live, work and travel in New York State, have a safe, efficient, balanced and environmentally sound transportation system.  As such, the NYSDOT makes sure that all material used on their projects meet their high quality standards by a rigorous qualification process, therefore, only the highest quality of products can appear on the approved material list.
