Jonathan Cook, Tensar International’s Manager of Products and Technology (Eastern Hemisphere), is celebrating 20 years with the global soil-reinforcement and ground stabilisation leader.
Joining the company in April 1994 after completing a degree in Civil Engineering at the Bolton Institute of Higher Education, Jonathan has risen through the ranks, including roles as Area Civil Engineer for Northern England & Southern Ireland and Design Services Manager in Tensar’s Blackburn design office.
Jonathan’s previous role as Product Manager for stabilisation systems has seen him travel extensively across Europe, Asia and Africa to assist with the international promotion of Tensar’s unique TriAx® geogrids.
His current role sees Jonathan take overall responsibility for the application of Tensar’s market leading products and systems in these regions, where Tensar systems are widely specified in a variety of sectors.
Peter Wills, UK, Ireland and Africa Business Manager for Tensar International, comments: “We’re proud that Jonathan has stayed with the company for the last two decades, it’s a real testament to his drive and dedication to the job. His knowledge and experience form a key part of Tensar’s offering and I look forward to working with him for many more years.”
Speaking of his landmark anniversary, Jonathan said: “Working at Tensar has given me so many great experiences so far and I look forward to seeing what the coming years have in store. When I first joined the firm my eldest son was only 6 months old and now he’s 20, the years have flown by and it’s been exciting to see how the industry, and our technology, has developed in that time.”
