Burke Environmental
For nearly 60 years, Burke Environmental Products has been a leading producer of flexible, durable membranes that provide long-term performance and outstanding environmental protection while reducing maintenance costs and concerns. For geosynthetics-related applications, Burke’s geomembranes have exhibited excellent weather resistance, chemical resistance, and design flexibility. As liners and covers, these geomembranes have improved water and wastewater systems, enabled dependable anaerobic gas collection for flaring or power conversion, reduced costs and increased output for industrial and aquaculture operations, and much more.
In addition to our long history of geomembrane manufacturing, Burke also offers fabrication, installation and engineering/design services to provide assistance and expertise at each crucial project turn.
More than 200 million square feet of Burke geomembranes have been installed.

Synthetic Rubber (CSM) Geomembranes
Because of the elastomer once used commonly in the manufacture of synthetic rubber geomembranes, they are referred to often as Hypalon® or chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSPE). Synthetic rubber geomembranes are no longer produced with that elastomer and are now abbreviated as CSM geomembranes—but the performance has not changed. Burke has produced high-performance rubber membranes for more than 55 years. Our CSM geomembranes are characterized by flexibility (in material and design/fabrication options), exceptional weather resistance, and outstanding durability. They have been used widely as liners for wastewater applications, reservoirs, aquaculture operations, and many other sites.
