SAN DIEGO – Layfield Environmental Containment, a worldwide leader in floating cover technology, is pleased to announce the recent award of a contract to fabricate and install a new Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene (CSPE) floating cover system for the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) Eagle Rock Reservoir.
The scope of the project includes demolishing the existing cover, furnishing, and installing a new 500,000 ft2 (46,500 m2) floating cover complete with a rainwater removal system and cover appurtenances. CSPE engineered geomembranes are highly UV stabilized and used extensively in municipal potable water and waste water containment applications as exposed floating covers and liners.
