It is very rich and prestigious the audience of stakeholders who will take part in RemTech Expo (www.remtechexpo.com), the most specialized event in Italy on the remediation of contaminated sites and the requalification of the territory, scheduled at Ferrara Fiere from 17 to 19 September 2014: the Regions and Municipalities, ISPRA and Arpa, the industry, the oil sector, Ports, Autostrade, Railways, remediation Consortia. Among the best service and technologies companies participating in RemTech, some prominent confirmations concern Saipem, Syndial and Eni. A central role in defining the contents will be covered by universities and research centers, bearers of European and high-knowledge content projects, professionals, associations with which important agreements were signed, and the experts of the Scientific and Advisory Committee.
Once again, this year, the highly qualified exhibition area of RemTech will present to the community of remediation – firms, public administrations, associations, institutions, professionals, universities, industry, oil sector and real estate market – companies, products and services of excellence.
Conference sessions with internationally renowned speakers, continuous training courses (accredited for professional development) for operators, authorities and decision makers, technical meetings promoted by the exhibitors, pilot tests and demonstrations will mark the program of the event, which promises to be particularly substantial.
The issue of remediation – of soils, groundwaters, decommissioned urban areas, Sites of National Interest – will be dealt with from the point of view of benchmarking with the other European countries, the development of the conceptual model, the integrated approaches, the most innovative technologies and tools (from ISCO to Plume Stop™), the experiences and incentives for conversion, and the pilot plants. The agenda will be, then, dictated by the adjective “environmental”: the emergency, the risk – chemical, biological and related to asbestos, but also the risk analysis – the monitoring, the pollution and its effects on health, the damage (risks and burdens on businesses, sanctions and impact on the business, remedies) and the environmental crimes (Advanced Course).
A key event is the second edition of the RemTech Training School on innovative technologies for remediation, with the presentation of the most interesting case studies by the companies and the involvement of the most prominent foreign buyers from Russia, China, South Africa and Brazil, with whom B2Bs and exclusive roundtables will be organized. The School is one of the many services offered by RemTech, to ensure a constant update on markets, notices, events and regulatory changes, as evidenced by the all-new “News” section of the website www.remtechexpo.com.
Two are the Special sections of RemTech Expo: Coast Esonda Expo (www.coastexpo.com) on the management and protection of the coast, the hydrogeological instability and the maintenance of the territory, and Inertia (www.inertia.com) on inert wastes, natural, recycled and manufactured aggregates.
There are also two new Parallel events that consolidate the international standing of RemTech and that will be held in parallel to it: The Sustainable Remediation Conference 2014 (www.sustrem2014.com) and the International Symposium on Sediment Management I2SM (i2sm.remtechexpo.com).
