CHARLOTTE, N.C. – HUESKER inc., an international manufacturer of geosynthetics, is proud to announce the addition of Lilma “Lilly” Schimmel, MSCE, P.E., to its US-based staff. Schimmel’s hiring represents a new, expansion-drive change for the company, as engineering has been predominantly performed out of the international corporate headquarters in Germany.

Lilly’s expertise will allow us to anchor our foothold in the North American market.”
Schimmel will be based in Charlotte, North Carolina and will be primarily responsible for design engineering services in the US.
Shortly after obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Schimmel emigrated to the United States, where she obtained a Master’s in Civil Engineering at the University of Delaware. She has worked as a geotechnical and civil engineer for high-profile, international firms, including Woodward Clyde, Jacobs, and URS, where she also served as a lab assistant manager.
