GEOSYNTHETICS GROWTH IN NORTH AMERICA

John Dowdell, President of Hanes Geo Components, cited Terrafix’s expertise in geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) and lining system design and installation as major factors in the acquisition.
“Terrafix is a clear leader,” Dowdell said in a release. “[The acquisition offers] important market expansion opportunities to the Hanes family of companies.”
Terrafix will continue to operate under its own name. Dave Fuerth, who has served as Terrafix’s Vice President of Sales, has been promoted to President of Terrafix.
“Our founder Dennis Hewitt built [Terrafix] on a strong foundation of providing technical support and a high level of service,” Fuerth said. “These are core values we see within the Hanes team as well. We anticipate a smooth operational transition followed by a renewed commitment to grow our position within the Canadian market.”
