Titan Environmental Containment has been on a sharp growth trajectory in geosynthetics over the past few years through product development and facility expansion initiatives. Now, the company is linking up with another major growth company, Concrete Canvas®. Titan Environmental Containment Ltd. has been announced as the exclusive rights distributor for Concrete Canvas® GCCM products in Canada.
Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mat products involve a flexible, concrete-impregnated fabric that hardens on hydration to form a thin, durable, waterproof and fire-resistant concrete layer. It’s often referred to as “concrete on a roll.” This allows for concrete barrier construction without the need for plant or mixing equipment.

Internationally, the technology has been widely adopted for bund lining, slope protection, weed suppression, remediation of concrete infrastructure, mining channels, and more. The lining system is distributed to more than 50 countries.

TITAN & GCCMS

Concrete Canvas® GCCMs consist of a three-dimensional fiber matrix that contains a specially formulated dry concrete mix. A PVC backing on one surface of the cloth ensures the material is completely waterproof. The material can be hydrated either by spraying or by being fully immersed in water. Once set, the fibers reinforce the concrete, preventing crack propagation and providing a safe plastic failure mode.
To support its market growth throughout Canada, Titan has opened a new 4,200 ft.2 location in Squamish, British Columbia, with office and shop space. Two new team members have been added as well, Ron Drewry and Rebecca Spitzer. They will be focused entirely on Concrete Canvas® sales and applications.
