Following a few years of significant manufacturing investments around the world, HUESKER has announced major transitions in its international management team.
Sven Schröer, who has led an enormous endeavor at HUESKER Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina—including tripling the primary US manufacturing site’s space—will return to the global headquarters in Gescher, Germany, where he will now serve as a Managing Director. The move is effective 11 June 2019.

Flávio Teixeira Montez, who not only spearheaded similar manufacturing expansion in Brazil but was a co-founded of HUESKER Ltda in São José dos Campos more than 20 years ago, will take over as CEO of the US subsidiary in Charlotte. The appointment is effective 1 May 2019.
André Estêvão Ferreira da Silva, who is in his third decade with HUESKER, assumed the Managing Director role of HUESKER Ltda. in early April.
INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT CHANGES GEARED FOR EXPANSION
In his new role back in Germany, Mr. Schröer will be in charge of HUESKER’s geosynthetic sales and engineering activities worldwide.
Dr. F.-Hans Grandin, Chairman of the Management Board, noted that Mr. Schröer’s appointment was “the next logical step in our worldwide expansion strategy, as it will ensure that HUESKER’s winning formulas are being applied throughout the world.”
Mr. Grandin highlighted the quality of all three international management appointments, citing the importance of being “able to fill these key positions internally with top managers, who have a proven and long term track record.”
The team certainly has established themselves, expanding manufacturing capabilities and engineering expertise in their markets, encouraging employees to serve on industry boards, and all in all contributing not only to HUESKER’s success but the global geosynthetics field.
