The Heritage High School farm in Blount County, Tennessee recently installed geotextile fabric in the farm’s heavy-use zones. The separation geotextile allows water infiltration while preventing soil erosion and rutting. This simple, environmental management strategy is one of many green initiatives the farm has implemented. The geotextile installation was made possible by a $15,000 grant from a soil conservation service.
