Steve Warner, the long-time president of the Roseville, Minnesota-based Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), and the IFAI Board of Directors have announced that he is stepping down. Among its many activities, IFAI organizes conferences and seminars, including a number of geosynthetics-related conferences. The association also publishes Geosynthetics magazine. Warner has been with IFAI for 35 years and has served as its president for a quarter century.
The announcement comes as IFAI’s annual Expo Americas is wrapping up in Baltimore, Maryland.
In a statement published by Specialty Fabrics Review, the flagship publication of IFAI, Warner said, “It has been a tremendous honor to serve the industry and I hope that my contribution has made a difference.”
Peter McKernan, Chairman of the Board, added, “Steve has been a wonderful ambassador for our association. His tireless efforts and thoughtful leadership exemplify the best qualities of our industry. We wish Steve and his family best wishes for the future.”
