Middle East Plastic Pipes 201115 February 2011 – After the success of the previous events, AMI’s 4th edition of the Middle East Plastic Pipes Conference will take place 16-18 May 2011 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Dubai, UAE. This event is focused on the applications, markets and technology for plastics pipes in the Middle East region.

Plastics pipes are increasingly replacing traditional materials in piping systems in the region in both new build and in rehabilitation and repairs. Standards institutes have developed tests to ensure that quality meets performance requirements for each application. Every part of the manufacturing process from polymer and additive supply through production processes and installation, are critical to long lifetimes of pipe products in this demanding environment.

The region’s economic output grew by 2.4% in 2009, less than the 5% growth achieved in 2008. The economic growth estimate for 2010 is circa 4.5% and the expectation is that the region’s economy will continue to grow at similar rates during the next 4-5 years. The region’s population exceeds 400 million and is growing at circa 2% per annum. Together with the good economic performance and governmental investments in infrastructure, this strongly stimulates the construction activity–and hence the demand for pipes.

Middle East Plastic Pipes 2011 is a unique forum to debate the technical and market developments in the pipe industry in the MENA region.

AMI has put together a very thorough programme which includes sessions on market drivers, sewerage and drainage pipes, specialised pipes and water supply pipes. The busy 2-day schedule includes many presentations from experts companies such as Farassan Manufacturing & Industrial Company from Iran, Abu Dhabi Pipe Factory LLC. from UAE, Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. from India and JM Eagle form the USA.

The conference offers an invaluable opportunity to network and expand the knowledge beyond inter-disciplinary boundaries

Middle East Plastic Pipes 2011 is sponsored by Columbian Chemicals and Borouge.
