Ken’s Foods of Marlborough, Massachusetts, is featured in the latest Environmental Protection magazine for its installation of anaerobic bioreactors to manage wastewater. The system uses geomembrane covers and harvests 200,000 to 300,000 cubic feet of biogas per day. The biogas is converted to energy–enough to power the plant’s entire heating needs and half of the electricity for the manufacturing facility.
