ASTM Committee D35 on GeosyntheticsIndustry veteran Jim Goddard has been named Committee Chair of ASTM D35 on Geosynthetics. He has served a member of D35 for nearly 30 years. He has previously been recognized by D35 with an Award of Merit (2009) for his record of activity. Goddard has worked as a consultant for the past six years, following a well-regarded career, most notably as chief engineer of Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS).
In addition to his ASTM work, Goddard serves on the National Transportation Research Board and with the Plastic Pipe Institute (PPI).
D35 represents 340+ members from 27 countries through biannual meetings, 10 technical submittees, and nearly 150 standards on soil reinforcement, roadway integrity, erosion control, drainage, hydraulic barriers, electrical leak location, and more.
