Brazil Geosynthetics Market Newsletter Emerges

Late last year, Geosynthetica began a long-term publication project in partnership with the the Brazil geosynthetics community. Geosynthetica.net.br was created to deliver Brazil-market focused information on geosynthetics, applications, companies in the field, and opportunities in engineering and events. Guided by editor Bruno Pedroni in Sao Paulo and supported by in-country technical engineering expertise, the site has grown steadily to include case studies, interviews, company profiles, and now a monthly newsletter.
The first issue of “Por dentro dos Geossintéticos” (Geosynthetic Insight) was published at the close of March. Key content included an interview with geotechnical engineer Clóvis Benvenuto, who serves as vice president of the Brazilian Association of Solid Waste (ABLP); promotion of GeoAmericas 2016; short courses on geosynthetics in Brazil; IGS Brasil’s photo contest; information from the tunneling sector; sustainability; and key events and opportunities in Brazil and for Brazil-based companies.
