Cash for Erosion Control

Australia’s Murray River and the Murray-Darling Basin have been in decline due to drought and erosion. The effects have been felt on both the river and its tributaries. Millions are being put into a streambank revegetation plan–but it’s unclear whether officials will go beyond the press-cited control methods of timber groynes and rocks along the bank.
