Chenango Contracting is progressing steadily on geomembrane installation to cover a part of the Allegany County Landfill in Pennsylvania, as the site has reached capacity. Phase II of the work is to be done later this fall. After that, there will be one more section to cover up. County legislators have said the entire landfill could be at capacity in about four years. The county has some decisions to make about what to do with garbage after that.
