P Brahmanandan, a 56-year-old extension service officer from the Coir Board Research Institute in India, died in Kaliapani, Jajpur, Orissa on January 28 after a heap of sand fell on him. The Coir Board has confirmed that Brahmanandan was in Orissa for coir geotextile promotional activities.
