The saga surrounding Pennsylvania’s Interstate 99 construction through a zone of rock with 260,000 cubic yards of pyrite is finally inching forward. The system controlling sulfric runoff from the rock will include geocells packed with neutralizing material and a geosynthetic clay lined median and collection zone. This is a prelude to a 675,000 cubic yard project.
