David Butchart has returned to the geotechnical engineering field in a new business development and strategy role with Earth Wall Products, LLC. The company provides proprietary retaining wall systems and materials for use in the construction of earth retaining walls. Some of the systems for which Earth Wall Products is known include the GRAVIX and FORIX gravity systems and the TRINITY and CREEKSIDE MSE systems.

David Butchart brings 35 years of experience in the civil construction Industry to the company. He is specialized in the design, sales, and construction of mechanically stabilized earth structures, including substantial project experience in segmental retaining walls and reinforced steep slopes. Most recently, he wrapped up 17 years of marketing and business development work with a well-known geosynthetic reinforcement company.
Butchart arrives at Earth Wall Products at an ideal time. He has extensive experience working with engineers and contractors in the highway infrastructure market; and, the company is seeing tremendous growth within markets such as DOT projects. The company’s licensed DOT precast retaining wall system, Gravix, for example, was developed to make retaining wall construction easier through modular installation and more sustainable through the use of 100% precast material.
