A former Fulton County, Georgia erosion control inspector has been indicted on bribery charges. Three times in 2007 the inspector, Don Mitchell, a 10-year veteran, sought and received money from a contractor whose site he was inspecting. Mitchell now may face prison time and a $250,000 fine. And what did he get in exchange? Two payments of $1000 and a $100 gift certificate to Red Lobster.
