We are seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Operations & Maintenance Project Manager – Midwest Region. Preferred Location: Chicago Area
The primary duties an Environmental Project Manager (EPM) is expected to perform include:
- Oversee and direct the efforts of all Regional employees, and assist as necessary
- Train, motivate, and mentor Regional employees
- Coordinate and perform operation and maintenance of landfill gas (LFG) collection systems, surface water, leachate, soil, and air sampling
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and labor for urgent construction projects
- Understand the scope, schedule, and budget for each Regional project
- Manage projects and resources to effectively meet and/or exceed margin goals
- Proposal, cost estimate, and invoice preparation
- Client relations and new business development
- Environmental data evaluation and management
- Professional correspondence and report preparation
- General assistance, as required

- Provide response to system call-out devices 24-hours per day, 7 days per week
- Travel for extended periods, if necessary. An EPM may travel 50 to 80 percent of the time; however, this estimate will change based on client and project requirements
- Walk long distances, up and down steeply sloped landfills and outdoor terrain
- Work safely in extreme (hot and cold) weather conditions
- Lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a non-consistent basis
- Pass a company paid, baseline health physical and drug screening
- Complete the USEPA HAZWOPR, 40-hour, environmental health and safety class, and annual 8-hour refresher classes
- Ability to obtain, and keep in good standing, a valid driver’s license
- Available to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays, if necessary
- Present a professional, well groomed appearance
- Ability to apply applicable environmental regulation and regulatory requirements to projects and
- Ability to create professional business documents and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
