15 October 2010 – The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) has opened registration for its annual conference and expo, Environmental Connection 2011 (EC11). Interested parties can visit IECA’s website for details on full-day courses, shorter technical sessions, special events and the exhibit hall.
EC11 will take place at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Orlando, Florida, 20-23 February 2010.
Education remains the cornerstone of Environmental Connection. Each year, hundreds of industry professionals are educated through the full-day, intensive training courses and shorter technical sessions which consist of half-day sessions, case studies, research papers, forums and workshops. Topics range from treating turbidity on construction sites to BMP selection and implementation to shoreline stabilization and restoration.
Some of the new full-day courses featured at EC11 include: Successful LID Practices to Control Erosion and Develop a Sustainable Project with Brent Hallock, PhD, CPESC, CPSS; Sustainable Native Plant Establishment for Erosion and Sediment Control with Adrian Juncosa, PhD; Erosion and Sediment Control Design for Stream Restoration Projects with Jan Patterson and Watershed Protection and Restoration: A How to Guide for TMDL’s with Jay Riggs, CPESC, CPSWQ.
The expo, 22-23 February 2010, will showcase the latest in erosion, sediment control and stormwater products and technology. With exclusive expo hall hours, attendees don’t have to choose between attending sessions or cruising through the expo–there’s enough time for both.
