A $100,000 endowed scholarship has been created in memory of engineer and erosion and sediment expert Carol Forrest. Forest was killed in an August 2006 helicopter crash. The scholarship will be available to San Diego State University College of Engineering students with an interest in the effects of stormwater and urban runoff on water resources.
