EuroGeo 4, the 4th European Geosynthetics Conference, will be held at the Edinburgh Conference Centre, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, from 7 – 10 September 2008. The event organziers would like to remind readers that booking is now available.
A registration fee discount is offered for bookings made before 31 July 2008.
The conference is being organised by the UK Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society under the auspices of the International Geosynthetics Society and is supported by the British Geotechnical Association (BGA), Scottish Geotechnical Group, Ground Forum and the Engineering Group of the Geological Society. Details of the conference programme, including keynote speakers and social events, can be found at the event website.
In addition to the conference, the IGS UK Chapter is organising a series of three training courses on geosynthetics in reinforcement, waste containment, and hydraulic applications (follow the links for further information and booking). The courses will be run in parallel with EuroGeo4 in Edinburgh and have been specifically developed to enable the practising engineer to understand, design, specify and benefit from the use of geosynthetics on civil engineering projects.
