Geofabrics Australasia Pty Ltd has been named the exclusive distributor for Concrete Canvas Ltd.’s Concrete Canvas® Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mat products in Australia and New Zealand.
Concrete Canvas is a flexible concrete-impregnated fabric that hardens on hydration to form a thin, durable, waterproof and fire-resistant concrete layer. This “concrete on a roll” barrier solution can be laid at a rate of 200sqm/hour and it is available in both bulk rolls and man-portable rolls for more limited site access situations.
In Australia, the products have been adopted widely, including for bund lining systems and major petrochemical work, such as for the Wheatstone liquefied natural gas (LNG) market in Western Australia.
EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTOR FOR CONCRETE CANVAS
Will Crawford, Director of Concrete Canvas, noted that the exclusive distributor agreement will take effect 25 March 2017 and include sales, marketing, and R&D involvement.
In addition to secondary containment and petrochemical applications, GCCMs are being used in more than 50 countries for diverse engineering needs: channel lining, slope protection, weed suppression, remediation of existing concrete structures, etc.
